Capacitor tower system of high voltage transformer (reactor) test station

After One Month of Installation

When the capacitor tower is used for the loss and temperature rise test of transformer and reactor, it is connected in parallel with the transformer or reactor to provide capacitive reactive power for the system and compensate the inductive reactive power of the test transformer or reactor. In order to compensate for various voltage levels and transformer capacities, capacitor towers can usually change the number of series and parallel connection to adjust the voltage and capacity we need. More than a decade ago, most capacitor towers manually selected the disconnector and used ladders or insulating rods to close and open the disconnector. With the development of pneumatic control, PLC control solenoid valve is usually selected for pneumatic disconnector, so as to directly select the opening and closing of disconnector on the computer. The position of the switch is transmitted to the monitoring system through the closing and opening detection contact of the disconnector.

The capacitor tower is generally composed of pneumatic control and monitoring system, parallel compensation capacitor, high-voltage fuse, pillar insulator, tower, pneumatic disconnector, busbar, support insulator, current monitoring transformer and other devices.
